The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles claimed their fifth first grade premiership 36 years ago today, with Coach Bob Fulton leading the team to victory.
The Sea Eagles defeated the Canberra Raiders 18-8 in the grand final, which took place at the historic Sydney Cricket Ground.
Paul Vautin captained the team during this memorable season.
Manly had a dominant year in 1987, finishing as minor premiers and recording a remarkable 12-game winning streak from rounds 9 to 21.
