Just the beautiful autumn sun shining down on the 49-year-old Canberra Stadium - 50 by the time the Wallabies end a decade-long absence from playing in the capital.

The ACT government was putting on a brave face at the decaying venue for the announcement of the Wallabies and Wallaroos games on Tuesday.

Apparently there's nothing wrong with Canberra Stadium - and not only is it still attracting international events, like the Wallabies-Ireland game, but it will continue to do so for years to come.
