Don Furner opposed Zac Lomax breaking his exit agreement with Parramatta, as Lomax seeks to join Melbourne Storm despite existing contract conditions.
Don Furner was the first to speak up at a recent NRL bosses meeting against Zac Lomax being allowed to break his exit agreement with Parramatta.
So it's not surprising the Canberra Raiders chief executive was ropeable at suggestions his was one of three clubs interested in the clubless winger.
Lomax and Parramatta were in the Supreme Court on Friday, where the Eels are looking to enforce the conditions for their release of the NSW winger last year.
The 26-year-old wanted to get out of the final three years of his contract with the Eels to join rugby union competition R360, which Parramatta agreed to provided he didn't play for another NRL club before the end of 2028.
