Brisbane Broncos coach Michael Maguire has responded to criticism of his team's lack of physicality by putting the players through a demanding wrestling drill during training.
This move came after fans and club legend Trevor Gillmeister called out the team for being 'soft' in their recent losses to the Raiders and Roosters.
Maguire acknowledged the need for his team to be more physical, stating, "We needed to be more physical...I know it's in the team but we have to look at ourselves." The Roosters outmuscled the Broncos in their previous game, prompting Gillmeister to urge the players to show more aggression in their tackles.
In response to this criticism, Maguire organized a physically intense wrestling session for the players.
