Canberra's Kris signs long-term deal after No.1 shift

Sebastian Kris' breakout season at fullback has earned him a huge contract extension in Canberra, signing until the end of 2027.

The New Zealand international has impressed since being handed the Raiders' No.1 jersey in pre-season after Xavier Savage broke his jaw, scoring four tries and assisting another three to help his side to fifth on the ladder.

Many questioned Kris' suitability for the fullback role, having played second row before locking down a role in the centres last season, but coach Ricky Stuart has stuck by him throughout the campaign.
