Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has confirmed his son Nathan suffered a significant hamstring injury on Sunday night and is expected to be sidelined for an extended period.

Nathan suffered the injury while

The 25-year-old was backing up on a four-day turnaround after playing 80 minutes in the Origin opener last Wednesday,
which NSW lost.
