Craig Bellamy addressed Melbourne Storm fans after their controversial 20-18 loss to Canberra Raiders in golden-point.
Craig Bellamy has put Melbourne Storm fans in their place amid claims they were robbed against the Canberra Raiders on Sunday night. Ricky Stuart's side scored a stunning 20-18 victory in golden-point to end Magic Round, coming back from 18-12 down to shock the Storm.
A number of controversial calls went against Bellamy's side in the dying stages, with Trent Loiero and Stefano Utoikamanu the culprits. A Ryan Papenhuyzen field-goal was overturned after the Bunker found Loiero had elbowed Joe Tapine in the head before the play-the-ball. The one-pointer would have seen the Storm take a 19-12 lead with just five minutes to play.
After the Raiders scored a stunning try to level the score at 18-18 and send the game to golden point, the Storm had another chance for a field-goal. But Utoikamanu gave away a second penalty of the game while in possession after lashing out at Tom Starling with his foot.
