Craig Bellamy's revelation about Ryan Papenhuyzen in huge finals boost for Storm
Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy has provided the biggest hint yet that his side will be boosted by the return of superstar fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen before the NRL finals series. Melbourne jumped back into the top-four after a 48-2 mauling of Canberra in round 24 that saw Raiders coach Ricky Stuart storm out of his post-match press conference after slamming the "embarrassing" display from his men.
The win all but sewed up a spot in the finals for Bellamy's side, who could be set to welcome Papenhuyzen back in the coming weeks in what would be a massive boost for Melbourne's premiership chances. The 2020 Clive Churchill Medallist hasn't played in the NRL for more than a year after shattering his kneecap in Magic Round in 2022.
