Former NRL star Curtis Scott seeks help after being charged with assaulting a teen following a Sydney Swans game.
Sitting handcuffed in a cell at Sydney Police Centre after a night in custody, troubled former NRL star Curtis Scott has nodded to confirm he needs help after he was charged with assaulting a teen following a Sydney Swans game.
An 18-year-old stranger needed to be hospitalised with facial injuries after Scott allegedly got physical with him outside the SCG on Saturday night.
The former Storm and Raiders star was subsequently charged with affray, assault causing actual bodily harm, and assaulting police, while his mother Dianna Allen was charged with hindering police when officers caught up with them after the alleged incident.
Allen was granted bail to face Downing Centre Local Court on April 9.
High profile criminal solicitor Paul McGirr told Magistrate David Covington in the online bail division that the incident - and Scott's subsequent night in custody waiting to face court - had been a "come to Jesus" moment for the former Storm and Raiders star.
