Two of the leading voices in the NRL have made stunning claims that Daly Cherry-Evans might be leaning towards retiring at season's end, rather than playing on with the Roosters. There's been speculation for months that Cherry-Evans has agreed to join the Roosters in 2026, although a contract hasn't been registered with the NRL.
It's previously been reported that Cherry-Evans will sign a one-year deal with the Chooks (believed to be around $1 million) before moving into a coaching role after 2026. But Andrew Voss and Phil Rothfield both believe the 36-year-old might be more inclined to call it quits.
