ABC political journalist David Speers will have his role expanded amid huge changes at the broadcaster.
The anchor of the ABC's political flagship program Insiders, Mr Speers will now take up the helm as the ABC News National Political Lead.
Mr Speers said he was pleased about his expanded presence within the ABC's Canberra team.
