Bulldogs players wore shirts stating "We Before Me" before facing Canberra, amid Bronson Xerri's frustrations over his demotion.
Bulldogs players wore potentially pointed T-shirts ahead of their Round 3 trip to Canberra, amid the Bronson Xerri saga.
Xerri is frustrated by his axing to NSW Cup and expected to seek an immediate release from the club despite being contracted for another two seasons.
Coach Cameron Ciraldo was firm in response to Xerri's frustrations on Wednesday, declaring "a number of other factors around training and preparation" had been the catalyst for his demotion to reserve grade.
He described the outside back's reaction to being dropped as "disappointing", and was left frustrated by the dramatic saga engulfing the club.
It was in that context Bulldogs players were spotted wearing T-shirts which read 'We Before Me' and 'Club First. Team Second. Individual Third. Since 1935' as they boarded a bus for Canberra on Wednesday.
