The Dolphins reject Sam Burgess' interest in Kodi Nikorima while pursuing George Williams from Warrington.

The Dolphins have slammed the door shut on Sam Burgess' pursuit of reborn five-eighth Kodi Nikorima amid Redcliffe's chase for English halfback George Williams.

On the back of snaring Broncos star Selwyn Cobbo, the Dolphins have made moves to bring former Canberra playmaker Williams back to the NRL next year.

Super League club Warrington is open to releasing Williams to the Dolphins - but want something in return.

There has been talk of a ludicrous $400,000 transfer fee for Williams or for the Dolphins to swap Nikorima, who Wolves coach Burgess has a high opinion of.
