Dolphins' Kurt Donoghoe Faces NRL Charge

Dolphins' Kurt Donoghoe faces charge but will play against understrength Raiders this Sunday.

Dolphins forward Kurt Donoghoe is the only player charged by the NRL's match review committee following the Sunday fixtures in Round 26.

Despite this, he is set to play against the likely understrength Canberra Raiders this Sunday in a crucial match that could determine the Dolphins' top-eight prospects.

Donoghoe received a Grade 1 careless high tackle charge for an incident that occurred in the 72nd minute of the match against the Gold Coast Titans. He faces a $3,000 fine if he accepts an early guilty plea, or he could risk a two-match suspension if he decides to contest the charge at the judiciary and loses.
