Heading into the finals, there are concerns surrounding Penrith's Dylan Edwards, who is facing a troubling trend of errors. However, the message from the club is clear: "Don't doubt Dylan Edwards." Unlike his struggles in 2019 after a difficult night in Bathurst, Edwards is now better equipped mentally to handle recent setbacks.

As one of the top fullbacks in the NRL over the past six seasons, Edwards earned the Clive Churchill Medal in 2022. Nonetheless, he has recently committed nine errors over his last three matches, with several proving pivotal in close losses. While these mistakes don't overshadow his impressive running statistics, they do raise concerns, especially given that he previously made only 12 errors in the first 14 games of the season.

One significant error came when a dropped ball in the initial set of golden point allowed the Storm to score, while another match against Canberra saw Edwards contribute three errors in the second half. Despite these challenges, teammate Nathan Cleary remains unfazed as the finals approach.
