Eels suffer blow as Zac Lomax ruled out, previously unhappy playing on the wing at Dragons.
The Eels have been delivered a savage blow with Zac Lomax ruled out for at least six weeks after coach Jason Ryles had just named him on the wing as Parramatta with star halfback Mitchell Moses nearing a return. In a move that would have left Dragons fans perplexed, Lomax was named on the wing for the clash against the Raiders this weekend.
Lomax left the Dragons after a high-profile departure with reports he was unhappy playing on the wing. The 26-year-old left the Dragons and took a pay cut in order to force his move to the Eels with his relationship with the club deteriorating.
Lomax played 114 games for the Dragons after making his NRL debut with the club in 2018. However, Lomax's winning field-goal against his former club on the weekend showed how much it meant to him and his Eels' teammates after a tough start to life at Parramatta.
