In a heartwarming display of emotion, Raiders skipper Elliott Whitehead bid farewell to his beloved Canberra fans in his final home game, bowing out as a triumphant victor.

The 34-year-old announced earlier in the season that this would be his last hurrah with the club, and his teammates made sure to send him off in style.

Down 18-10 against the three-time defending champs, the Panthers, things were looking grim for the Raiders.

But a stunning 65m try from Albert Hopoate and a brilliant 90m intercept from Xavier Savage turned the tide and secured a remarkable come-from-behind victory for Canberra.
