Former NRL champion Laurie Daley, who played for the Canberra Raiders, was moved to tears upon hearing about the bullying Parramatta halfback Jake Arthur faced from a segment of the Eels fanbase.
Arthur, who is the son of Parramatta coach Brad, has been accused of only being picked due to nepotism.
The abuse reached a boiling point on Saturday in Canberra when the Eels lost to the Raiders with Arthur in the halves, replacing the concussed star Mitch Moses.
