The Raiders are testing their depth in center positions during trials, focusing on Tamale and Sasagi as they face Melbourne Storm, while resting key players.
It's mostly about giving youngsters a taste of the NRL, with one exception - the Canberra Raiders outside backs.
Pressure in the centres is especially set to ramp up at the end of a tough pre-season in the Raiders' first trial - against the Melbourne Storm at Seiffert Oval on Friday night.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart said he'll rest a "high number" of his NRL players from both the Green Machine's trials, with their second one against Cronulla at Gosford on February 21.
The exception will be his centre-wing positions, where the Raiders have plenty of depth and Stuart's keen to see how his options perform.
