He was destined to be a Raider. Now he leads the Warriors on grand final day

Kalani Going, NSW Cup player of the year, leads Warriors in championship final on NRL grand final day.

Kalani Going was rising through Canberra's ranks and seemingly destined to wear lime green. Then he was milking cows on his uncle's Northland farm, and making a five-hour round trip just for training.

Now the reigning NSW Cup player of the year is set to lead the New Zealand Warriors into a state championship final against Burleigh to kick off NRL grand final day at Stadium Australia on Sunday.

"The connection in this group is pretty unreal. It's probably one of the best, if not the best, connected group I've been a part of," Going said.
