Corey Horsburgh omitted from Queensland's State of Origin team, available for Canberra's clash with Warriors.
Canberra Raiders star Corey Horsburgh has been left out of Queensland's team for the State of Origin opener on Wednesday 28 May.
After a strong start to the NRL season, Horsburgh was tipped to earn a bench spot but has been omitted from the Maroons squad entirely, with coach Billy Slater favouring Mo Fotuaika and Trent Loiero over the Canberra middle forward.
This means Horsburgh will be available for Canberra's top-four clash with the Warriors in New Zealand on Sunday, with Hudson Young the only Origin casualty for the Raiders after being named on the NSW bench.
