Zac Hosking, Canberra Raiders back-rower, is expected to sign a new contract that will keep him from moving to the NRL's upcoming expansion teams, the Perth Bears and PNG 2028, according to zerotackle.com.

Over the past two seasons, Hosking has established himself as a key player in the Raiders' forward pack, securing a starting position alongside teammates Hudson Young, Joseph Tapine, Josh Papalii, and Morgan Smithies.

The 28-year-old, who previously played for the Penrith Panthers and Brisbane Broncos, has had a strong season, with 13 appearances yielding four tries, two line-breaks, three line-break assists, an average of 92 running metres per game, and a total of 457 tackles.

As of November 1, he is eligible to negotiate with other teams but is reportedly on the verge of finalizing a two-year contract extension that would tie him to the Raiders until at least the end of 2028, as reported by The Daily Telegraph.
