Hudson Young admitted he exaggerated a penalty against Reece Walsh in the NRL finals, seeking consistency in officiating.
Canberra Raiders star Hudson Young has come lean about what really happened against the Brisbane Broncos in week one of the 2025 NRL finals series.
Speaking with Josh Mansour on the UNSCRIPTED podcast Young admitted he milked the controversial penalty when on the receiving end of Reece Walsh's head in the 53rd minute.
"Yeah (I milked it), but he did lean in with his head," Young laughed when asked about the moment that saw Walsh sin binned, but ultimately escape with just a $3,000 fine.
Asked if he felt his Kangaroo Tour teammate Walsh deserved a suspension for the incident, Young played a straight bat.
"As a player I just hope they'd be consistent," he said.
