'I was pretty crook': Raider climbs out of sick bed to help down Manly

Simi Sasagi struggled with a staph infection but played, eager for a break during bye week.

Simi Sasagi almost didn't play in the win over Manly.

He'd been struggling with a staph infection, and a resultant boil on his knee, all week and even sat out the captain's run on Thursday.

So he's looking forward to a couple of days off this week to help recharge the batteries as the ladder-leading Canberra Raiders enjoy their final bye of the NRL season.
