Raiders coach Ricky Stuart cryptically addressed penalties impacting the game, suggesting ill-discipline was a factor in their loss.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has given a cryptic response to a reporter's question regarding a couple of crucial first half penalties during his side's thrilling 14-10 loss to Canterbury.
The Raiders were on the wrong end of a 9-3 penalty count including two in the first forty which the Bulldogs turned into a pair of penalty goals.
They proved to be the difference, with the Bulldogs running out four point winners to stay unbeaten in the young season.
When a reporter in the Raiders' press conference put to Stuart if "ill-discipline might have proved costly in the first half", the coach's response was brief.
"If you want to write that, mate, write it," Stuart said without elaborating.
