Las Vegas Confidential: Dragons transform famous night spot; Bulldogs’ $50k LV Raiders outlay

St George Illawarra transforms Ole Red Las Vegas into a fan hub, featuring Dragons branding and events for the week.

The Australian

One of Las Vegas' most popular night spots has been fully transformed to a St George Illawarra hangout.

No detail has been left out by the Dragons in what is a guerilla-type marketing blitz. Four storey country bar Ole Red Las Vegas has been totally decked out in St George Illawarra gear.

Highlights are played of the Dragons across several big screens, patrons are served in a cup with a Dragons emblem, staff are wearing Dragons T-shirts, posters of Dragons players are up throughout the venue while co-captain Clint Gutherson is plastered across the elevator doors.

The Dragons will use Ole Red as a base throughout the week and will host an already sold-out fan day on Friday at the venue.

"Matching up against the Bulldogs in Vegas to open 2026 is a huge moment for our club," said Dragons boss Tim Watsford. "For our fans travelling to be able to take over country music legend Blake Shelton's "Ole Red" bar in Las Vegas and transform it into the Dragons Lair right in the heart of the strip for the week is something very cool and we believe we are the first NRL club to do a full week long residency.
