Eels captain Clint Gutherson has thrown his support behind Jakob Arthur after post-match abuse from fans reportedly prompted a heartbreaking comment from the young Parramatta half.
Arthur started in
Parramatta's loss to Canberra
on Saturday in place of Mitchell Moses (concussion) and was abused outside the dressing rooms post-match, according to a fan who posted in a Facebook Eels supporter group.
After the game last night we went down to see the players. As they came out they were happy to give their time to sign stuff and take pics, the fan wrote.
