After a 30-year championship drought, the Canberra Raiders are looking to bring back the glory days with the return of the legendary Mal Meninga.

The NRL immortal and three-time premiership-winning captain is taking on a new role with the club in hopes of leading them to their next title.

Meninga, who led the Raiders to their last NRL title in 1994, is set to work on a variety of initiatives and programs aimed at propelling the green machine to success.

This move echoes his previous role at the Gold Coast Titans, where he played a key role in player recruitment and development.
