Manly pursue veteran Raiders halfback to replace Cherry-Evans

Manly wants Jamal Fogarty to replace Daly Cherry-Evans, opening talks with Raiders and planning for exit.

Manly have identified Canberra halfback Jamal Fogarty as the replacement for Daly Cherry-Evans, opening conversations with the Raiders No.7's management about joining the club from next season.

On the same day that Cherry-Evans addressed his teammates about his future and vowed to do everything in his power to leave the club with a premiership, this masthead can reveal Manly have been planning for his exit for months.

The Sea Eagles have identified Fogarty as Cherry-Evans' replacement despite offering the club captain a two-year extension worth $1.4 million on Tuesday.
