Former premiership winning halfback Rod McGregor of Yass, received a signed Canberra Raiders jersey on behalf of the Men of League foundation.
Rod (aged 67) was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease about two years ago after what was a prolific rugby league career with the St George Dragons and South Sydney.
Rod is one of very few players to win a premiership in their debut season, being an important member of the 'Bath's Babes' St George Dragons team that won the 1977 Grand Final.
