Raiders' Young, Smithies, and Tigers' Skelton charged after Round 16 game; Young's elbow injured Twal.
Canberra Raiders forwards Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies, along with Wests Tigers outside back Jeral Skelton, have all been charged by the NRL's match review committee for offences during a closely contested Round 16 game on Friday night.
According to zerotackle.com, the match ended with the Tigers narrowly losing by four points, despite being down 16-0 at halftime.
Young received a Grade 1 dangerous contact charge for an incident in the first half where he elbowed Tigers forward Alex Twal in the head.
The elbow resulted in a cut to Twal, similar to a recent incident involving New South Wales winger Zac Lomax and Queensland forward Trent Loiero.
