'Nipped in the bud': Raiders skipper lays down law on slipping standards

Zahara Temara addressed rumors of midweek drinking, emphasizing the team's quick response to performance issues.

Canberra Raiders co-captain Zahara Temara said it was disappointing stories were being made up about them drinking midweek, but they'd dealt with the fall in standards straight away.

A couple of Raiders players were late to a recovery session following their round-three loss to Parramatta, which Temara said had been dealt with when it happened.

But Temara took aim at rumours about midweek drinking ahead of last weekend's loss to North Queensland, where the Raiders were held scoreless to continue their winless start to the season.
