The Raiders aim for history, seeking the minor premiership against the Wests Tigers today.

The Australian

The Raiders are chasing victory and history today in Canberra with NRL CEO Andrew Abdo bound for the Nation's Capital with the J.J Giltinan Shield.

Melbourne's 40-10 loss to the Roosters on Friday night has led to the opportunity for the first-placed Raiders to seal the minor premiership by beating the Wests Tigers at a sold-out GIO Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The extraordinary feat by the Green Machine would be their first minor premiership since 1990.

The possibility of sealing the minor premiership has prompted plans for the Raiders to be presented with the prestigious minor premiership trophy by Abdo.
