NRL hits Sharks with $5000 fine after trainer incident

Sharks fined $5000 for trainer running next to Raiders player during conversion attempt.

The Sharks have been fined $5000 over an incident where a trainer ran next to Raiders halfback Jamal Fogarty as he attempted a crucial conversion attempt.

The NRL has issued Cronulla a breach notice for the actions of trainer Daniel Holdsworth during the club's win over Canberra at PointsBet Stadium on March 31.

Holdsworth was seen running past Fogarty as he moved in for a sideline attempt with the Raiders trailing by eight points with a little over seven minutes left. The kick cannoned into an upright and missed.
