NRL allows Canberra Stadium to host prelim finals if Raiders earn home advantage; focus is on upcoming match.

The NRL has cleared the way for one of the biggest games on the calendar to return to Canberra Stadium as the ladder-leading Raiders close in on their best crowd figures in 31 years.

Canberra Stadium will be eligible to host a preliminary final if the Raiders earn home ground advantage during September's finals series, in what would be a major coup for both the club and the city.

But you can guarantee talk of a preliminary final berth will not breach the four walls of Ricky Stuart's football department as his side turns their attention to a clash with the Newcastle Knights, with another bumper crowd expected at Canberra Stadium on Sunday.
