Newcastle superstar Kalyn Ponga reported for pre-season training on Monday, and rolled out a quirky endorsement deal that has sent fans, teammates and other NRL stars into a social media spin.
Ponga was limited to just 13 games for the wooden spooners last year after his season was cut short due to a Lisfranc (foot) injury suffered in Round 17 against Canberra.
But the star fullback is back on deck for Newcastle's pre-season preparations under new coach Justin Holbrook.
A relaxed looking Ponga, headlined the return of a number of senior players on Monday including Dane Gagai and Jacob Saifiti.
