Canberra's Donny Furner dismissed claims of interest in Zac Lomax, citing no communication and salary cap issues, while Lomax's camp is now in talks with the Storm.
Canberra boss Donny Furner has ridiculed any suggestion that they looked at Zac Lomax after it emerged in the Supreme Court that his lawyer had proposed the Raiders as a potential landing spot for the former St George Illawarra and Parramatta star.
Parramatta's legal counsel Arthur Moses SC revealed on Friday morning that lawyers for Lomax had provided evidence suggesting that Lomax would consider joining the Raiders, along with the Perth Bears and the Melbourne Storm, should he be given the green light to return to the NRL.
Furner insisted that his club had received no contact from the Lomax camp and were in no position to sign him anyway.
"That is factually incorrect," Furner said.,
