
NRL aims to minimize Bunker delays; Raiders likely best equipped for evolving officiating standards.
As the NRL plan to reduce the interference of the Bunker calling delayed penalties, ahead of Magic Round the Canberra Raiders could be in the best position to manage the ever-changing goalposts of rugby league officiating.
This week NRL boss Andrew Abdo claimed there had been no league-directed recent crackdown on high tackles.
That was despite multiple incidents in recent weeks where much to the surprise of players, coaches and fans, play had been stopped, and penalties had been called several tackles after the fact.
