Raiders move to lock in two young guns as hooker departs

Canberra Raiders losing key player, securing young talent. Zac Woolford joins Huddersfield in Super League.

An iconic Canberra Raiders name is leaving the club, but they've moved to lock down two of their young guns.

The Raiders have opened talks with Kaeo Weekes and Xavier Savage, while hooker Zac Woolford - whose dad Simon captained the Green Machine - has joined English Super League club Huddersfield on a one-year deal.

Woolford's father also coached the Giants across three seasons from 2018-2020.
