Raiders’ opponent set as NRL locks in round one

The Raiders will play the Sea Eagles and former player Jamal Fogarty on March 7, 2026.

The Canberra Raiders' 2026 round one opponent has been revealed, with the club set to take on former halfback Jamal Fogarty.

The Raiders will travel to Brookvale to face Fogarty and his new side, the Manly Sea Eagles, on Saturday night, 7 March.

Fogarty helped steer Canberra to a minor premiership in his final year at the club, before heading to Manly on a three-year deal.

It will likely pit the 31-year-old against 21-year-old Ethan Sanders, who is tipped to start as Canberra's number 7 next year. Sanders featured in two games for the Raiders in 2025, helping the club to a 26-24 victory over the Roosters before playing in a heavily depleted side in the final round loss to the Dolphins.
