Canberra Raiders are resting Ethans Strange and Sanders, plus other players, to prepare for round one against Manly.
Both Canberra Raiders Ethans have been put on ice to keep them fresh for round one.
Neither Ethan Strange nor Ethan Sanders will play in the Green Machine's trial against Cronulla at Gosford on Saturday, with Raiders coach Ricky Stuart preferring to wrap them in cotton wool ahead of round one.
It's an approach Stuart has taken with a lot of his top-30 squad, with captain Joe Tapine, Josh Papali'i, Hudson Young, Kaeo Weekes, Corey Horsburgh and Tom Starling rested from the Raiders' two pre-season trials.
They'll all be champing at the bit come round one, when Canberra travels to Brookvale to take on Manly in the season opener.
