Canberra Raiders aim to extend Morgan Smithies' contract, which expires next season.
The Canberra Raiders have one of the most stable rosters in the NRL going into 2026, but they are still yet to lock down one of their key forwards.
Morgan Smithies has been in talks with the Raiders since July, with the club hoping to extend the front-rower's current deal, which expires at the end of next season.
Smithies shares the same agent as teammate Ata Mariota and in late October when the Samoan international was finalising his deal to remain in Canberra until 2028, it was hoped the Englishman wouldn't be far behind.
