Debate among NRL fans over commentator behavior during big moments after Brad Fittler and Cameron Smith's actions.
NRL fans are debating how commentators should be calling the big moments after the actions of Brad Fittler and Cameron Smith proved very divisive on Thursday night. Fittler and Smith were in the box for Channel 9 when the Raiders stunned the Sharks with a late try to Sebastian Kris for a 24-20 victory.
As Kris crossed the line, Fittler screamed over the top of lead caller Mat Thompson, shouting: "One good play! One good play!" Fittler had earlier said it might only take one good play for the Raiders to salvage a miracle victory.
Smith was beside Fittler and Thompson in the box, and laughed into the microphone before the final pass from Simi Sasagi to Kris - rather than actually saying anything. It meant Thompson was largely drowned out by his colleagues while trying to describe the biggest moment of the match.
