Reuben Garrick scores four tries for Manly hours after becoming a father to baby girl Elsie.
Reuben Garrick had the weekend of his life, scoring four tries for Manly just hours after becoming a father for the first time with fiancee Riley. Rumours were rife in the lead-up to the Sea Eagles' clash with Canberra on Sunday that Garrick wouldn't play due to the impending arrival.
But he lined up as planned and had the game of his life, scoring four tries as Manly thrashed the Raiders 40-12. He celebrated two of his tries with a 'rock the baby' gesture, and confirmed to Fox League after the game that Riley had given birth on Saturday night.
Garrick revealed they had a baby girl called Elsie, and that Riley was still in hospital recovering. The centre paid special tribute to his fiancee, as well as their midwives and doctors.
