Billy Walters is excelling in rugby, nearing his father's premiership success with the Broncos.

Billy Walters is shaping up as one of the great stories of an epic rugby league season.

He is just two wins away from joining his father as a Broncos premiership five-eighth and the good news is that even when Adam Reynolds returns at halfback Walters is likely to continue to wear the number six jersey his dad donned in six premiership wins for the club.

That's good. He deserves it. Ben Hunt will probably move to hooker.

In the Broncos' gob-smacking defeat of the Raiders, Walters was again industrious with some neat incisions in attack and sound defence.
