The Roosters have reportedly told Sandon Smith he is free to negotiate with other clubs with the Raiders linked to the young star as fans wait for Daly Cherry-Evans to make an announcement. Fans have become increasingly frustrated with the Cherry-Evans saga with the Manly No.7 announcing earlier this season he would not be playing at the Manly Sea Eagles in 2026.
Many have argued the saga has taken its toll on Manly and the players with the halfback still yet to confirm where he is going next year. Although the 36-year-old has been heavily linked to a move with the Roosters for next season.
