Raiders coach Ricky Stuart criticized his team's self-destructive tendencies after a 34-22 loss to the Sharks, dropping them to 1-3.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart was frustrated with Corey Horsburgh's sin bin and took aim at his side for self destructing after their 34-22 loss to the Sharks, which saw them slip to 1-3 on the season.
After winning the minor premiership last year by icing a lot of close games, the Raiders have been on the wrong side of them to start 2026 and lost to the Sharks after trailing 12-0 while Horsburgh was in the sin bin in the 3rd minute of the game.
"They're a good footy team, I've got a football team there," Stuart said.
"But our biggest issue is the self-destruction. It's happened three out of our last four games, that we're not giving ourselves an even chance to test ourselves against the opposition.
"But we've been dealing with it, we spoke about it again just then after the game, and until we do, we won't win a game of footy."
