Cronulla could be undermanned for their preliminary finals clash against the Storm with prop Tom Hazleton ruled out and Toby Rudolf facing an anxious wait to see if he is charged for a high tackle.
The concerns regarding their two big men soured Cronulla's impressive performance to send minor premiers Canberra out with successive finals losses. Despite withstanding a mountain of defence in the first half, Cronulla somehow led 12-6.
But the first half was marred by a heavy concussion by bench forward Hazleton. Hazleton lasted just four minutes in his return from an infection when he had to be assisted from the field. The prop came into heavy contact from Tom Starling with Hazleton clashing heads with the Raiders hooker.
