‘Significant damage’: Rising Raiders star arrested and charged after Northies incident

Rising Raiders star Chevy Stewart was reportedly arrested on Friday night and charged for malicious damage after an incident at Cronulla's Northies.

The 20-year-old NSW Origin under 19s representative was alleged to have poured an alcoholic beverage in a pokie machine, with a court date looming for the young gun.

According to Code Sports, the NRL Integrity Unit are reportedly aware of the incident, having been notified by the Raiders.

The SMH is also reporting Stewart poured his drink into the machine after becoming frustrated while gambling.

"About 10pm on Friday, police were called to a business on Elouera Rd, Cronulla, following reports a man had damaged property," NSW Police said in a statement.
