The Blues have named three debutants with Raider Hudson Young, Bulldog Tevita Pangai Junior and Shark Nicho Hynes set to make their first Origin appearance. Bulldogs flyer Josh Addo-Carr returns on the wing after being overlooked last year while Tom Trbojevic and Latrell Mitchell are reunited in the centres after both missed the 2022 series. Panthers playmakers Nathan Cleary and Jarome Luai will steer the ship in the halves and are joined by teammates Isaah Yeo, Brian To'o and Liam Martin. Wests Tigers hooker Apisai Koroisau got the nod ahead of Damien Cook for the hotly contested No.9 jersey. The absence of Jake Trbojevic with a calf injury has opened the door for Pangai Junior while injury has also struck Rabbitohs centre Campbell Graham, who was named 18th Man but withdrew on Monday with a sternum injury. Panther Stephen Crichton is the new 18th Man and Wests Tigers enforcer Stefano Utoikamanu is the fresh reserve.
